Meet the WGNJ and
WGNN Staff

Meet Mark and Carrie Burns, the Christian couple who had
a dream to bring Christian radio to East-Central Illinois and West-Central
Indiana. Mark Burns is the General Manager of Great News Radio. Mark got
his managerial experience at Jewel Food Stores, then went on to serve
as the Director of Volunteers for URBANA 93. He oversees both WGNJ and
WGNN, and is the President of Good News Radio, Inc. Many times Mark can
be seen on the racquetball courts or serving as a volunteer for AWANA.
Carrie Burns is Mark's
wife, and is the Director of Creative Services and Israel Relations. She has her PhD in Education
and has taught in colleges and elementary schools. She is busy with
writing, speaking, creating events, and organizing trips to Israel.
Carrie loves to read, study her Bible and teach, swim, travel and run.
Karen Harrison is the Office Manager
for Great News Radio. She has her degree in Education as well. Karen is
the mother of 4 great kids. Jonathan and David attend Lincoln Christian
College, and Bethany and Benjamin continue their high school education as
home school students. Karen has interests in homemaking and missions.
Bethany Harrison serves part-time as an office assistant working with her
mother from home. She is invaluable in helping take phone calls,
entering computer data, and preparing items for mail. When her
studies are complete, she enjoys time working with children, baking,
crocheting, and playing the piano.
With three full time and one part-time staff members, Great News Radio appreciates the dozens
of helpers who have donated time, talents and resources to this
ministry.
Herb Ketchum is the Radio Servant.
Herb is a retired University of Illinois fire-fighter. Herb helps to maintain the WGNJ tower site. Herb's nickname is Herb 'n Serve.
He does all types of behind the scenes radio duties.
Stephen McClarey
is the director of the Singing Men of 'GNN. Steve was the long-time director
of the Decatur Park Singers and the Greater Decatur Chorale. Steve teaches
music at schools in Arthur and assists with worship at
